My Text Book

Yesterday I started on my first chapter in my text book for flight school. I spent At least two hours on learning about the FAA, and FAR. Even though it might seem boring to most people I am just eating this stuff up and find it extremely interesting to read about. I am not a fan of reading at all especially text books like this one.

study habits

I need to figure out how best to use my study time. My friend, Rob now comes to my tutor afterschool to study for his Electric Union tests and it has been fun to hang with him but I need to get serious. My book are massive and I have a lot to study!

Movie: Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machine

I recently watch Magnificent Men and Their Flying Machines which is a romantic comedy about the first flying race from London to Paris in 1910. It was about who had the best airplane and the fastest flight times. Also many countries were competing for the main prize which was ten thousand pounds, which was a lot of money back then. The movie was very funny and easily won my vote to watch again.

Signing Up

Journal entry 2/21/2010

Yesterday I signed up for my flight school. It consisted of bringing in physicals and records of me like social security number and birth records. Also I had was handed myflight bag with all of my text books for the ground schooling I will be working on until I get my license. The cost of just signing up to be apart of their club was $1,342 then an additional $50 amonth, and every time i go up in the plane it cost around $150 to $170 to fly. This is a lotof money so I am lucky i have parents that supportme with this whole project I am working on. So now that i have the Books I start working on the first couple chapters monday and hopefully can finish it by friday so i can fly on the weekend. I have four text books where I have to do a little work in each one before flying. I can't wait to have my first official lesson and will be keeping updates on the readings i have to complete.
